Oscar 2006: Brokeback Mountain Superstar

E' il film dell'anno, non ci sono dubbi; se ne erano accorti persino alla nostra Mostra di Venezia dove di solito badano solo ai nostri filmetti! Naturalmente sto parlando del "western alternativo" Brokeback Mountain di Ang Lee, che ho visto sabato scorso e che mi è piaciuto tantissimo. Non appena avrò un po' di tempo scriverò la recensione nella sezione Hollywood; nel frattempo mi permetto di consigliarvene la visione perchè ne vale davvero la pena.
Se riuscite a non pensare a tutto il chiasso che i media hanno fatto attorno a questo film e a liberarvi di preconcetti vari assisterete ad una bellissima storia d'amore, straziante, ben raccontata e ben recitata. E non è poco per i nostri tempi!
Ma di questo parlerò nella recensione... Quello che volevo dirvi è che Brokeback Mountain, come è giusto che sia, è il "film da battere" alla prossima cerimonia di consegna degli Oscar, giunta alla sua settantottesima edizione, che avrà luogo domenica 5 Marzo a Hollywood. Con ben 8 nominations (miglior film, miglior regia, miglior attore protagonista, miglior attore non protagonista, miglior attrice non protagonista, miglior colonna sonora, miglior fotografia, miglior sceneggiatura non originale) è il superfavorito, ma la concorrenza è agguerrita: tra i candidati come miglior film ci sono anche "Capote", "Crash", "Munich" e "Good Night and Good Luck".
In Italia di tutto questo non importa a molti... Sono tutti supereccitati per la candidatura di "La Bestia nel Cuore" di Cristina Comencini come miglior film straniero, già pronti a dirne quattro a questi "americani che non capiscono i nostri film" qualora non dovesse vincere! E un triste copione che si ripete ogni anno, se veniamo nominati...
Comunque, tornando agli Oscar, le nominations sono state rese note lo scorso 31 Gennaio; ad annunciarle è stata l'attrice Mira Sorvino insieme a Sid Ganis, presidente dell'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in una cerimonia trasmessa in diretta televisiva dal quartier generale dell'Academy, a Beverly Hills.
In attesa di vedere come andrà a finire vi riporto la lista completa delle candidature; i nomi dei film sono tutti in lingua originale per protestare contro lo scempio della traduzione dei titoli in italiano che subiamo ogni anno... Comunque io tifo per i cowboys!
